A Boot Full of Hops | France 44 Blog

Posted by France44 on March 9, 2012 in Home |

My praise of Minnesota Beer continues this week.  We have been one of the lucky few retailers in town to get beers from Steel Toe Brewing out of St. Louis Park.  Our luck continued on Wednesday, when Jason sent us a good amount of his Steel Toe Size 11 Double IPA.   It’s a monster.  It clocks in at 11% ABV, has 111 IBU’s, and an 11 on the SRM scale (color).  And best of all, it’s really good.   There’s a massive kick to the head of hops, followed up with lots of grapefruit, pine, and sweet melon flavors.  For how much alcohol is in this beer, it hides it very well.  It’s a huge beer, but balanced and beautiful.  We all loved it.  It’s a really fun beer to drink, just don’t plan on doing anything afterwards.

                Here’s a list of all the Steel Toe Beers we have in stock;

  • Provider Ale
  • Rainmaker Double Red Ale
  • Dissent Dark Ale
  • Size 7 India Pale Ale
  • Size 11 Double India Pale Ale

The Size 11 bottles won’t be around for very long.  Grab one and try it for yourself.  If you’re a fan of Hops, you won’t be disappointed.   Once again, local breweries continue to impress me.

See you soon,

Bill
