There are many diet plans available that are claimingto help you burn body fat. Knowing how to combine foods properly is a crucial element of managing weight. Being conscious of which foods can be eaten up at the same time is the essence of this weight loss plan. When you consume congruous foods at the same meal, your digestive system is able to do its task properly. Here’s a simple guide for optimal food combining.

There are 4 different groups of food, and every type requires different conditions for full digestion. Carbohydrates, proteins, fruits, and non-starchy veggies make up the 4 categories. Fish, meat, dairy, soy, and nuts are the important protein-rich foods. Starchy vegetable like potatoes, food grains such as rice and oats, baked food items such as bread and cake, and also pasta are all included under carbs. Lettuce, celery, and other typical salad ingredients represent the non-starchy vegetable group.

Within the fruit group are four sub categories: acidic, sub-acidic, sweet and melons. Sugar rich or sweet fruits are dried fruits, figs, dates, and bananas. Pineapples, lemons, oranges, and grapefruits are the well known fruits in the acidic class. Sub-acidic fruits are apples, papaya, mango, plums, kiwi, peaches, and almost all berries. Of course, it’s not hard to guess what to include under melons; watermelon, honeydew, sweet melon, and other varieties.

Every group of foods is broken down by many chemicals in the stomach. On one hand, proteins need an acidic environment, while on the other, carbohydrates rich food need an alkaline one. Mixing carbohydrates and proteins results in neither an acidic nor a basic environ, which is not pleasant. The outcome is that neither the protein-rich foods nor carbs become wholly digested, and this could result to a lot of stomach disorders. This is the reason many people are suffering from heartburn, for example, or even irritable bowel syndrome.

To avoid such problems and burn fat efficiently, observe these simple rules of correct food combining at each meal. At each meal, resolve whether you will take protein-rich foods or carbohydrates, but not both. You may take in proteins or carbs with non-starchy veggies.

It’s best to take in simply fruits alone. Sub-acid fruits blend very well with both sour or sweet-tasting fruits, if you wish to eat more than one type of fruit in a serving. Melons should not be eaten with any other fruit.

In addition, the time your body requires to digest the different types of food varies. Carbs are digested in 2 hours while proteins require 4 hours for full digestion. Avoid consuming carbohydrates for four hours after taking in protein, for example.

Since many common meals include damaging food combinations, you may need some time to break old habits. When you’re dedicated to better health and shedding off extra weight, you’ll find these rules very helpful.
